How does auto-trip detection work?

MyMilesAI uses your iPhone's motion sensors and GPS to detect when you start driving. When the app sees motion patterns consistent with vehicle travel, it begins recording the trip in the background. When the vehicle stops for a few minutes, the trip ends and is saved automatically. You can also start and stop trips manually from the Drive tab.

Why didn't my trip record?

Most missed trips come down to one of three things: (a) location permission isn't set to "Always" in iPhone Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > MyMilesAI; (b) Motion & Fitness permission is off in iPhone Settings > Privacy & Security; or (c) iOS killed the app from the background to free memory, in which case the next drive will record normally. Email us if a specific trip is missing and we'll dig in.

Can I edit a trip or change its classification?

Yes. Tap any trip in the Trips tab to edit its category (Business or Personal), purpose, and notes. You can also use the Auto-Classify button (the floating action button) to bulk-classify everything in one pass — manual changes always override the automatic suggestions.

How do I export my mileage log?

From the Stats tab, scroll to "Export" and choose Excel, PDF (IRS-ready), or QuickBooks formats. All export formats are available to every user, on any plan — your trip data is always yours.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Open Settings > Manage Subscription in the app — that opens Apple's standard subscription management screen where you can cancel anytime. Alternatively, go to iPhone Settings > Apple ID (your name at the top) > Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep access until then.

How do I get a refund?

All MyMilesAI Pro subscriptions are sold through the Apple App Store, so refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com, find the MyMilesAI subscription, and choose "Request a Refund." Apple typically responds within 48 hours.

How do I delete my account and data?

From the app: Settings > Delete Account. You'll be asked to confirm, then to enter a 6-digit code we email you to verify it's you. Deletion is immediate and permanent — once confirmed, all your trip data, account information, and exports are erased from our servers right away and cannot be recovered. Export anything you want to keep first.

In-app help

For the fastest help, tap Settings > Contact Support inside the MyMilesAI app. That opens a prefilled email with your device info and account ID so we can diagnose faster.

Refunds & billing

All payments are processed by Apple via the App Store. We do not directly bill you and we do not see your payment method. For billing questions, refund requests, or to manage payment methods, visit your Apple ID subscription settings.

Data export & portability

You can export all of your trip data at any time from the Stats tab, in Excel, PDF, or QuickBooks format — all available to every user, regardless of plan. If you cancel your subscription, your trip history stays accessible and exportable — we strongly recommend exporting before canceling.
